misunderstood concepts it the local church is how a healthy
single adult ministry contributes to the over all growth of the
church. This one hour workshop takes a look at some of the
key elements in a what it takes to have a growing single adult
ministry. Then it explains the positive impact that takes place
in all areas of the church. This workshop targets pastors,
education and adult ministry leaders. It has been
presented at LifeWay Conference Centers; at the SAM Convention;
and the National Association of Single Adult Ministers (NASAM)
Annual Leadership Conferences.

| Singleness: More Than Unmarried©
"Singleness,
More Then Being Unmarried” has been developed to help pastors,
education ministers and the church at large understand more
about what it means to be a single adult in the local church.
It takes a look at some of the negative stereotypes of what it
means to be a single adult and challenges churches to empower
singles by including them in the total life of the church,
especially leadership.
It has been
presented at the American Association of Christian Counselors
(AACC)
and at LifeWay Conference Centers. This is a one hour presentation,
yet works well if more time is allowed to include a question and answer time.

| Develop a Ministry From Scratch
This workshop is
designed to be done over several sessions. It is for those
who have a desire to start a ministry for single adults in their
church, but do not know where to start. It is best held in
a small group setting where the participants have ample
opportunity to ask questions that pertain to their church and
community. It targets leaders who attend small to medium size
churches. There is an outline to facilitate discussion
among the participants and help them with some recourses for the
future.

book being written by Alan Corry. The heart of the message is not a book on
"how to do" single adult ministry, but rather "how to be" a Singles
Pastor. It has been presented at the SAM Convention. The

| Counseling Single Adults
This class is aimed at
those who work with single adults in the local church, but do not
have formal training in counseling. As laity there are some
boundaries you need to learn to protect yourself and the single
adults who come to you for help. Know the right questions to
ask and be a good listener will go a long way in helping. You
will also learn in this workshop some of the key issues that face
singles and how to recognize when it is time to refer to someone
with more experience or training. It has been presented at LifeWay

| Doing Premarital Counseling
You do not have to be a
single adult minister a long time to discover that single adults
will become engaged to be married and they will ask you to officiate
their wedding ceremony. There is so much more to premarital
counseling than giving a lecture on the "does and don'ts" of
marriage. This workshop looks at some of the different
resources that are available and goes over some of the key areas for
counseling. It is designed to give you a game plan to do a
good job in helping a couple prepare for a lifetime of marriage.

This workshop can be
presented as a one hour overview, but it is best done in a retreat
setting where there are several sessions to discuss all the different
aspects of relationships. It is designed to take a humorous, yet
serious look in how relationships develop and why so many go bad.
It uses Audio/Visuals, power point and small group discussions.

As the title suggest, this
seminar is for single men only. So many of the workshops and
conferences today focus on being a married man. The concern for
singles is, how to live a life of integrity as a single man. This
seminar takes an honest look at some of the areas that single men face
and talks about ways to set safe and healthy boundaries. It can be
presented with power point as a one hour overview, or used in a retreat
setting that allows time for large and small group discussion.

their mid 50's, there is going to be an increase in senior single adults in
the next ten years. This seminar takes a look at the specific needs of
senior adults the different needs between married seniors and single

This class targets all
church leaders who work with children. It is an overview of the
importance why churches need to be aware of the ministry opportunities
with children from single-parent families. It is estimated that
nearly 60% of all children today will spend some part of their childhood

| Leadership & Team Building
This seminar is designed to
be customized to your church and the leadership that you currently have.
It is best to present this workshop over a weekend retreat. There will
be an interview with the minister responsible for the team (prior to the
retreat), in order to learn what the needs of the group are.
Understanding group dynamics, each group will be at different stages of
development and may need different training techniques. The goal will be
to help the team work more effectively together. This
presentation uses some power point, but relies more on large and small
group discussion
